I don't think that the overcharged prices were applied to local people. Most attractions designated admission fees for tourists. And I don't think most stores or restaurants do fraud or rip off to locals.

It's sad to know that this kind of fraud and ripping off is happening in Turkiye. Well, this is not new to tourist destinations like Jeju Island in Korea or Boracay in the Philippines, but the way you told me about this situation, I really think they went overboard in taking advantage of tourists!
