I always confused 'borrow' and 'lend' in all class! What a lazy student! So I have to distinguish 'borrow' and 'lend' clearly for this essay! If I want to get a money from my friends or the bank to buy my own house, I have to use word 'borrow'. So I have to ask to my friend that "Could I borrow some money from you?". Also I visit to the bank and 'borrow' money as much as I can buy my house. If I'm willing to give money to my family, I have to use word 'lend'. So I 'lent' all the money I had saved to my father. Because it was so hard for him to repay the principal and interest of the previous loan.

You got it perfectly! Loan is to borrow money. The directions is towards you. Lend is to let someone borrow money and the direction is away from you.

If you will loan and lend money, you will memorize these concepts. You would better not. Borrowing nor lending will be the best.
