People think that art is not nessesery part of life. It might be seems an extravagant things for rich people.
But art is always close to you.
when I took a class in college, my major film professor said,
Art can make you know the current of the times.
In the movies history case, movie is completly leisure thing.
It's an extreme situation. You might be thing that during the wars, or the great depression of the economy, the movie might death. But it was not. That time, the movie industry was revival period. It is because, people wanted to escape from reality. People saw the movies a lot. many countries make big different movies trend when they were in wars or bad times.
Not only movie, drawing, music, write.. all arts also has been exist nearby our side always. So Art is very important to people. It's not difficult things it's a matter of course.
