The musical, Les Miserables was really impressive. I made a reservation in advance during my family trip to the US in 2008 and watched the musical in person at a theater on Broadway in New York. Les Miserables is such a famous novel that I read it when I was young. So in the musical, the actors sang and acted in English, so I couldn't understand it, but I could guess the story. The musical ran for about two and a half hours and featured hundreds of actors. Its been so long since I watched it that I cant remember every single scene, but I think every scene was great. And you must have read the novel, but I was so moved by the content of the novel. The main character, a young boy who was imprisoned for decades for stealing a loaf of bread because he was hungry, changed his name after being released, made a lot of money, became the mayor of a small town, and helped people in need, seemed so cool. When I was young, I read this novel and thought I wanted to be like the main character.
