Last week, I met my family include my brother's family. My brother live in Philippines, so I hardly meet them. I felt that my nephew and nieces grew up. They were more calmed than the past.

I felt that my nephew and nieces grew up.
>> I noticed that my nephew and nieces had grown up. 

They were more calmed than the past.
>> They were calmer than before.
