Eariler reading habbit is important to improve some language skills. So, I think reading is good for children but, it can't be force. If I let to read some books for 30 minutes a day, they will do that. But I don't ask, they won't read book and lose interesting for book. For good academic performance, I think interesting is important thing to focus on studies. And other preschool factors are something that influence healthy mental.
