Actually, I've never cooked with other people. So I am sorry that I don't have any stories to share with you. I always cook by myself for myself or my daughters at home. Even I had never cooked at home until my ex-wife left me eight years ago. at that time in Korea, cooking was exclusively the job of women. the men didn't even do the dishes. However, the culture related to cooking is also changing in Korea. These days, most Korean women work during the day like men. So most Korean men share housework such as cooking, doing the dishes and laundry with their women. but it is still not common for men to cook with other people. In Korea, during traditional Korean holidays such as Seollal(New Year Day) and Chuseok(Korean Thanksgiving day), all family members usually gather at the parents' house and cook together. In this case, only women usually participate in cooking. I think korea too, men will be soon cooking with women during traditional holidays.

Hi Soon Ho^^
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
It's good to know that your tradition/culture is changing.
I think it's better for both men and women to do the house chores together.
