In order to set lucrative direction, they have to check every thing ranging from overall plan to detail things. Furthermore, they take responsibility of decions which they conformed. In general, most huge and important decisions are made by directors. If they made a wrong decision entails some risks, they should take the responsibility and regisn int he worst senario. In conclusion, given that CEO make great effort to their work, they worth to earn big salary. I believe this kind of salary structure will continue for a long while.
