When I am planning for travel, the primary consideration is familiarity. It can be the familiarity with food, culture, language and people. The reason is that this familiarity will reduce the risk. When I know the language, there is less possibility that I will encounter an accident. Even though I do I can express the incident to the local police. Also, I believe that I can enjoy the travel more when I know the culture and food. By tasting the dishes and visiting the art galleries that I saw on social media, I can enjoy it more thoroughly by comparing it to the reviews and pictures on the media. I have never visited a country that I have no knowledge of. There can be some opposing opinion of me not taking a risk and I know there are some people who regard travel as more like an adventure. However, in my perspective travel should be a relaxing experience and increased risk will result in increased stress. Accordingly, I chose safety over stimulation.
