Seoul has been the capital of Korea for 631 years since it was designated as the capital by the first king of the Joseon Dynasty in 1393. Therefore, many historical buildings have been built. However, unfortunately, most of Korea's old buildings were burned or destroyed in the process of fighting numerous wars. It has now been restored mainly with some of the remaining debris, but its original grandeur cannot be seen. Nevertheless, Seoul, the capital of Korea, has five palaces where the king's family lived and where state affairs were discussed. First, Gyeongbokgung Palace was the first palace built and was huge, with as many as 7,000 rooms, but now only 37 buildings remain. Next is Changdeokgung Palace, the only one of the five major palaces to be registered as a World Cultural Heritage. That's how well the original shape is preserved. In addition, there are Deoksugung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, and Gyeonghuigung Palace, which I recommend you to see when you come to Korea.
