I sadly don't know much about children's books. When my daughters were young, I was too busy with work to experience the joy of reading children's books with them, and now that my children are already adults, I have no opportunity to read children's books. However, I can make some comparisons between modern children's books and classic children's books. First of all, modern children's books seem to focus primarily on stimulating children's curiosity and allowing them to enjoy reading. On the other hand, classic children's books seem to focus on teaching something. As a result, modern children's books are likely to have many more colorful illustrations than classic children's books. Also, while classic books mainly deal with traditional fairy tales that encourage good and evil, modern children's books seem to deal with more friendly subjects such as nature and pets.
