Why do some people give in to depression?

Sometimes it's because of lack of effort or knowledge. There are several ways that could help prevent depression by strengthening mental health such as exercising, writing journals, sleeping enough and so on. If we don't know or try to do them, it could be easier to get depressed. Also, I believe there are events or environment that is too hard to overcome. I think they can bring depression. Finally, I heard that there is genetic feature which makes it easier to get depressed. And I think hormones can also affect.

I believe depression is prevalent especially among students due to the pressure they get from their studies and people's expectations. It is important to set our mindset positively and balance between life and other things that we do
