Are all-you-can-eat restaurants better than buffet restaurants? In what way?

I think buffet restaurants are better than all-you-can-eat restaurants because all-you-can-eat restaurants' foods are not varied. One week ago, I went to an all-you-can-eat restaurant with my friends. The foods were salmon and raw meat. At first, they were tasty, but I couldn't eat enough because they were so oily. I wanted to eat other foods, but I couldn't choose. If it had been a buffet restaurant, I could have eaten other fresh foods. So I prefer buffet restaurants to all-you-can-eat restaurants.

I agree! Buffet restaurants offer a wide range of dishes compared to all-you-can-eat restaurants, so at least you have options on what to eat and can change it if you don't like it, unlike in all-you-can-eat restaurants where the choices are very limited.
