Before I left for the United States, I went on a one-night, two-day farewell trip with friends I had shared a dorm life with in high school and maintained a friendship with for over 10 years. The experience of my friends expressing their sadness, preparing gifts for me, and cooking delicious meals together will remain a cherished memory for a long time.
