I have read books about diabetes, the writer said there were significantly less patients with diabetes just few decades ago, at least in Korea. It was because there were no enough food to eat. And, usually obese people tend to suffer from diabetes. Also So I can infer from that, eating too much is still the major reason to the obesity.
