What's the best way to pass a job interview?

i think it important to be confident and trustworthy so i have to laugh and don't make stories. i was going interview today for restauant but i coudn't hace laugh so i think i failed the interview. beside i close to home for company. it takes about 15 mintes by walking. bur boss say "too far". so i'm too disapointed.
