I love cooking pasta because it is easy to cook for trier compared to Korean foods.
I usually cook oil pasta with olive oil and fresh vegetables such as tomato, garlic, mushroom.
And I can make cream pasta without market products!

But my homemade pastas are little blend to my family. My brother always ask me put salt more.
That makes me upset because I think I put enough salt in my pasta!

Pasta is actually tricky since the texture is subjective to the one eating it. For me, I prefer 'al dente' while others want it cooked softly.  For your brother, it was the taste that he is more concerned about. I guess you are right in making it bland. They could always add more cheese if they want to.

Anyway, take note of the spelling of the words and the better diction or words to use to make them more appropriate in describing or pertaining to the subject.
