I am a Korean who belongs to Asia, so of course I have eaten a lot of Asian food.
Raw fish and sushi, which are popular in Japan, a country near Korea, are also popular foods in Korea, and China, another country near Korea, has had a lot of traffic with Korea for a long time, so I am also familiar with Chinese food.
On the other hand, I mainly eat Korean food when I travel to other Asian countries, so I am not familiar with other Asian foods.
However, the only thing I enjoy eating is Vietnamese pho.
Paradoxically, the Vietnam War played a decisive role in the globalization of Vietnamese food.
When North Vietnam, led by Vietnam's independence hero Ho Chi Minh, defeated France and the United States and achieved Vietnamese independence and the unification of North and South Vietnam, many South Vietnamese dispersed around the world, settled and lived there, and Vietnamese food became known to the world.
Naturally, as Vietnamese settled in Korea, Vietnamese food became familiar to Koreans.
