It's been so long since I graduated from school that I don't know much about current textbooks.
So, I will talk about it based on my experience when I was a high school student.
I was in high school in the early to mid 1980s. I studied math hard and got good grades.
However, most of my friends hated math because they had to memorize a lot of formulas.
I also found memorizing math formulas really boring.
Afterwards, in college, I learned why those mathematical formulas were created and where they were used, and from then on, mathematics became fun.
Saint-Exupéry, a famous French writer and author of The Little Prince, said this.
If you want someone to build a boat, have them yearn for the sea.
I hope that textbooks will be improved to be more interesting so that students can study at school with interest and enjoyment.
