I think that through reading novels, we can learn better about society, human nature, the world that surrounds us, and history.
We all learn about politics, society, economics, and history through textbooks during our school days.
However, textbooks are not very interesting to students. So I don¡¯t think the learning effect is that great.
On the other hand, novels are fun. If a novel is really interesting, once you start reading it, you may not be able to put it down until you finish.
And, the novel is based on historical facts, and many characters conflict, suffer, love, and sometimes die through numerous events.
When we read a novel, we empathize with the characters and indirectly experience numerous events in the novel.
Additionally, we can have fun studying the real history that is the background of the novel while reading the novel.
I think I was able to learn more about World and Korean history by reading related novels than by reading history textbooks.

Happy Monday, Sun!

Reading novels offers a deeper understanding of human nature by immersing us in characters' emotions and motivations, exploring societal dynamics and cultural contexts, and prompting reflection on universal themes like love, loss, and identity. This engagement fosters empathy, critical thinking, and a broader perspective on the complexities of life and society.

I think that through reading novels, we can learn better about society, human nature, the world that surrounds us, and history.

>> Correct.

Or >> I think we can learn more about history, society, human nature, and the environment around us by reading novels.
We all learn about politics, society, economics, and history through textbooks during our school days.

>> Everybody in school uses textbooks to learn about politics, society, economics, and history.
However, textbooks are not very interesting to students. So I don¡¯t think the learning effect is that great.

>> However, students find textbooks to be dull. Therefore, I don't believe there is much of a learning effect.
On the other hand, novels are fun. If a novel is really interesting, once you start reading it, you may not be able to put it down until you finish.

>> On the other hand, novels are entertaining. If a novel ignites your interest, you could find it impossible to put it down until you've finished reading it.
And, the novel is based on historical facts, and many characters conflict, suffer, love, and sometimes die through numerous events.

>> In addition, the book is based on historical events, and it features a large cast of people who argue, suffer, fall in love, and occasionally lose their lives.
When we read a novel, we empathize with the characters and indirectly experience numerous events in the novel.

>> We empathize with the characters in a book and unintentionally go through many of the events described in it when we read it.
Additionally, we can have fun studying the real history that is the background of the novel while reading the novel.

>> Reading the work while also learning about the actual history that forms its setting can be enjoyable.
I think I was able to learn more about World and Korean history by reading related novels than by reading history textbooks.

>> I think that reading related novels helped me learn more about Korean and world history than reading history textbooks.
