Well, in three situations, I think we should stop communicating.
First, when someone is in a state of intense emotion.
When someone is deep feelings of one thing, they should stop communication.
For example, for someone who is going through a situation where someone is injured and killed, you have to stop communicating.
Because if peopel feel overflowing emotions, people can't communicate easily.
Second, when someone is in very angry state.
Because angry people tend to get excited, even a small word or small behavior can cause different and difficult situations.
So someone can't communicate when someone are very angry.
Third, when someone has a seriously biased idea.
people with seriously biased ideas are not easily persuaded because they think everything they have is right, and they can argue that they are right while communicating.
That's why the right communication may not proceed.
