In Korea, there is no Father's Day, but the day for fathers and mothers is celebrated together as Parents' Day.
Since ancient times, Korea has placed great importance on loyalty to our country and filial piety toward parents.
That is why the government celebrates it by designating May 8th as Parents' Day every year.
This is to express gratitude to the parents who gave birth, taught, and raised children.
In normal times, married children often visit their parents, but on Parents' Day, unless there is a special reason, children gather at their parents' house together to express their gratitude to their parents by attaching carnation flowers to their parents' clothes and eating together and spend time together.
When I was in school, I made carnation flowers to give to my parents under the guidance of my teacher.
Now, as my parents' son and the father of two daughters, I express my gratitude to my parents on Parents' Day and at the same time receive gratitude from my daughters.
