Among the cultural shocks I experienced when I traveled abroad, I will talk about the United States first.
First, when I ate at an American restaurant, I had to give an additional employee tip in addition to the price of the meal.
It was hard to understand why I was giving tips and it was hard to decide exactly how much to give.
Second, when I visit a hotel or private house, I wear my shoes and go in.
In Korea, I took off my shoes and went into the room, so I took them off at first in the United States, and I was embarrassed when I heard from the employee.
Next is the cultural shock I experienced when I first went to Paris, France in 2001.
I thought African-Americans were only living in the United States and I knew that Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, freed them from slavery.
But there were a lot of African black people in Paris.
It broke my heart to learn that they were forced to move to France from the former colonies in France's Africa and live in poverty.

 “Culture shock” is a normal process of adapting to a new culture. It is a time when a person becomes aware of the differences and/or conflicts in values and customs between their home culture and the new culture they are in. Common feelings may be anxiety, confusion, homesickness, and/or anger.

Among the cultural shocks I experienced when I traveled abroad, I will talk about the United States first.
>> I'll start by discussing the culture shock I experiened while visiting the United States. 
First, when I ate at an American restaurant, I had to give an additional employee tip in addition to the price of the meal.
>> First, I had to pay the bill and tip the employees at the restaurant.
It was hard to understand why I was giving tips and it was hard to decide exactly how much to give.
>> It was hard to decide how much tip I should give and why I had to give a tip.
Second, when I visit a hotel or private house, I wear my shoes and go in.
>> Second, I wear my shoes when I go in a hotel room or private residence.
In Korea, I took off my shoes and went into the room, so I took them off at first in the United States, and I was embarrassed when I heard from the employee.

Next is the cultural shock I experienced when I first went to Paris, France in 2001.

>> I mistakenly believed that African-Americans were mainly residents of the United States, and I was aware that Abraham Lincoln, the country's sixteenth president, had liberated them from slavery.
But there were a lot of African black people in Paris.

It broke my heart to learn that they were forced to move to France from the former colonies in France's Africa and live in poverty.
>> It breaks my heart to hear the news that they had to flee their former colonies in Africa and live in poverty.
