Well, the first thing is to listen carefully to them. Only when you're engaged to listen carefully to it, you can show your respect to different opinions. And, the argument wouldn't happen. Second, don't ignore other opinions. If there are different things, you won't ignore it. It seems I'm always right and you're wrong. So, it's not a manners. Last of all, it's a reaction. Saying you're right, nodding, and relating are good things. Even if you don't listen to it, you do these things. You look like listening carefully like an white lie. Whether you want to face or not, you should face this situation. So, it's a good way. :)
