I think Koreans find it difficult ot apologize and admit their mistakes in society.
There also seems to be a lot of negative perceptions of the that.
This is because mistakes come with strong criticism and big responsibility.
If you did something wrong, you might have to take responsibility for resigning, including salary cuts and missed promotions, following criticism that you can't handle at once.
It is also designed in a unreasonable structure in which if you do something wrong, you aren't responsible alone, but the entire team is responsible together.
Nowdays, with the development of the Internet, the news becomes widespread, and you become a person who has done a big mistake without knowing it.
Therefore, if you apologize and admit your mistake, you may find it more difficult to admit it because you think about the disadvantages that will follow you.
