What are the customary greetings and behaviors for meeting/greeting someone in your culture?

Korean customary say for greeting that "Let's have meals together sometime.". This expression is used to familiar relationship. And we say to them when we meet someone at first time, if we get good feeling. There are many the greeting which is related "eating meals" in the Korean culure. May be it reflect economical hard situation in the history. For example KOREAN WAR. The other reason, I have heard that our ancestor are warmhearted. They had greeted with their mind asking whether meal or not.
