What do you think is the most unusual food in your country?

There are various foods in Korea.
Well-known foods are Korean style prok belly, bibimbap, bulgogi, etc.
But there are also many food that are well known.
Korea food is either you like it or hate it.
Because most Korea foods are strong-tasting.
Anyway, I will introduce the unusual food.
The meaning of unusual is that this food have a story.
Food name is budae jjigae (Army stew or army base stew).
Today's budae jjigae has various ingredients.
It's includes kimchi, sausages, ham, vegetable, and noodles.
Budae is general term for a military base in Korean.
And Jjigae is a term for Korean style soup(stew).
This food is beginning made was in the past, there was nothing to eat, after the Korea-war.
Residents living near U.S military base began to gather and cook military food.
And then, Each region has different taste and recipe for Budaejjigae.
It is still one of the most popular foods
