I guess that we love having a dog and a cat and the most popular pet is a dog. I can easily see dogs everywhere from my apartment to every park along the river. Most household decide to have pets due to children's request. Some people have it solve their loneliness because dogs are lovely and friendly to humans whereas, others want to raise cats because they are cute and smaller than dogs. I used to have dogs when I was a teenager. My dog was raised in the yard because it is common practice at that time. He protected my home by barking if there was a stranger. It was ok for my family to raise pets because we just needed to bring him vet for basic vaccinations and no need for trimming hair and special food or snacks. However, the cost of raising is quite high for pets so it can be burden for me to raise pets. I don't want to spend money for pets. Instead, I want to spend money for my children.
