Very interesting question. I would go to the past for better present or future. I have many things to regret about what I did in the past. For example, ‘I should have done this’, ‘I shouldn’t have done that’ or something like that. However, if I could time travel to the past, I could change many things because I already know the result that came from what I did in the past. I could do what I did good better. I wouldn’t do what caused me damages.

In this respect, time traveling to the future benefits me little. Future is just the result from what I did in the past or present. I don’t have many things to do about future for better myself.

However, if many people besides me could time travel, my plan to go back to the past to change my present or future could fail because many people involving to change the past could interact each other’s past, leading to unexpected present or future that nobody wanted to have.
