To survive, I had to learn English by myself.
I May say I was so enthusiastic to study English. fortunately, there were many people who came from England. I could directly test that I had just leant from a text book.
I sat on the table at the kitchen and I asked things that they were doing in the kitchen. like "what are you cooking?"
"what is that?" and then they, who were having English as their mother tongue, they told me back I asked and invite me to share some food they cooked. the time, I always brought a box of beer to share with. so I could be on the table with them.

>> I could directly test myself with them since I just learn everything from a text book.

I sat on the table at the kitchen and I asked things that they were doing in the kitchen.
>> I usually sit on a table at the kitchen then ask them things about what they're doing like

like "what are you cooking?"
>> I ask them questions like, "What are you cooking?" and "What is that?".

"what is that?" and then they, who were having English as their mother tongue, they told me back I asked and invite me to share some food they cooked.
>> And then the people, who speak English natively, invite me over to have some food.

the time, I always brought a box of beer to share with.
>> During those times, I always bring a box of beer to share  so I can spend with them.

so I could be on the table with them.
>> CONNECT WITH THE SENTENCE ABOVE.

when I just arrived, that was about 9pm. some people hanging out at the public area and asked me to joind the table.
>> When I arrive about 9pm, the people hanging out at the public area would ask me to join their table.

then I said "I can't speak English" then they said "that was perfect English" with the biggest smile.
>> I will usually tell them, "I can't speak in English". They will disagree and say, "That was perfect English", along with the biggest smile.
