It is one of the most difficult things to define what kind of qualifications needed to be a good leader. I have decided not to follow my boss's ways to control his juniors. It is well known that Korea is conservative country. Elderly has tried to preserve business manner which is unfair, unreasonable and high pressure. I believe that all societies has changed in a positive way as time goes by although it takes time.
I didn't want to be a leader like my seniors however, I can understand a little bit why my managers acted like that because I realize that a leader is not god so he/she can't be satisfied with all staffs. In my opinion, the basic requirement of leader is three things. Firstly, a leader has to love being lonely. It is almost impossible to be kind and be a manger who is superior in their duties because a leader is a decision maker. There always are people who complain about instructions from high positions. Secondly, they should be a good listener.

Defining a leader is actually hard. Nobody's perfect as they say. I agree with one of your answers, a leader should be a good listener. 
Nowadays, it's really hard to find a leader who listens to their employees. Though I understand the responsibility they have to the company they work for, I am actually hoping that they also show that they listen to their employees. I also like a leader who motivates their people. Motivating a person I guess is better than pressuring them to do better. 

Kudos to your answer! It's really great to read opinions coming from a person who is honest enough to share his ideas.
