when i need to communicate with someone, i would try to call and get responds immediately.
while we text, sometimes we have to wait longer than we thought until got simple reply.
So i think that's wasting the time we can use efficient more
in case there is a lot to talk with, texting is inconvenient and uncomfortable to make people understand what i mean.
face to face talk is useful to collect opinions and get conclusion in various meetings.

I prefer to talk in person feeling atmosphere of conversation and if there is some misunderstanding, we can try to solve it on the spot.
otherwise in texting, we are not able to fix the misunderstanding happened from what we write about.
It can make the problem serious more.

Phone calls can be just as quick (if not faster) as texting someone is. The quickness of a simple text message may be efficient in some cases. Phone calls allow you to have a more transparent conversation while understanding the meaning behind their words. If words alone don't accurately communicate your intended message, opt for a phone call. Brief texts are still okay, but your voice is much better at conveying how you feel when communicating with someone. ~  Teacher Quenny:)
