One of Korea's many superstitions is not to eat seaweed soup on the test days.
Any Korean will agree with this superstition, and I also believe so.
Perhaps it comes from the characteristics of seaweed.
When anyone walks on a rock on the beach, they will be slipped because of seaweed.
Seaweed is black and slippery. However, it is one of Koreans' favorite ingredients because it is rich in nutrients.
After baby born, mothers eat seaweed soup and recover their bodies, and their families cook seaweed on their birthdays.
It's a very good food, but many people think that they slip on the test after eating seaweed soup on the test day.
When I was in college, I also had seaweed soup on the day of the certification test and failed by one point. I thought I would pass because it was an exam I prepared very hard.
I knew the superstition, but I ate it because it was my younger brother's birthday, but there was a result.
